In the latest episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, aired on 7 October 2024, the story takes an interesting turn in Gokuldham society. The day begins with Jethalal, as usual, trying to avoid any stressful situations, but as fate would have it, problems seem to find him wherever he goes. This time, it’s not a business issue but something much more unexpected.

The episode kicks off with Babita and Iyer planning a party at their home. They are excited to invite everyone to celebrate Iyer’s latest work achievement. As always, Jethalal is the first one to get overexcited about attending the party. He tries to impress Babita with his knowledge of modern technology, but as usual, things take a comical turn when Iyer catches on and teases him, leading to light-hearted banter.

While the preparations for the party are going on, Popatlal, still on his quest for finding a suitable bride, is seen rushing from one place to another, trying to find out if there’s any eligible single woman attending the party. His antics leave everyone laughing, but at the same time, there is a touch of sympathy for his ongoing struggle.

Meanwhile, in another part of the society, Bhide is once again troubled with society-related issues. This time, it’s related to the maintenance of the compound. A minor argument ensues between him and Jethalal, where Bhide accuses Jethalal of not paying enough attention to his duties as a society member. Jethalal, however, deflects the conversation with his usual wit, making it another humorous situation for the viewers.

The highlight of the episode is when Tapu Sena decides to play a prank during Iyer and Babita’s party. They plan to hide the speaker system, which leads to confusion and panic as the guests arrive. Tapu and his friends hide in the background, enjoying the chaos they’ve created, only to be caught by Champaklal. Champaklal, instead of scolding them, joins in on the fun, further elevating the comic atmosphere.

However, the light-heartedness soon takes a back seat when an unexpected guest arrives at the party. A man claiming to be an old friend of Babita shows up, and his familiarity with her leaves Jethalal visibly uncomfortable. His jealousy starts to show as he tries to figure out the relationship between Babita and the newcomer, leading to some hilarious yet awkward moments.

On the other hand, the residents of Gokuldham, particularly Madhavi and Roshan, are busy trying to manage the food and drinks for the party. Madhavi’s homemade pickles, as usual, steal the show, while Roshan’s special Parsi dishes add flavor to the celebration. Amidst all the laughter and fun, Bhide manages to slip into the kitchen, trying to fix a small issue with the lights, only to make things worse by accidentally causing a short circuit. The entire society is plunged into darkness, which leads to panic amongst the party-goers.

Jethalal, in a bid to impress Babita, steps up to fix the problem. However, his lack of technical skills becomes apparent quickly, and Iyer has to step in to resolve the situation. Jethalal’s failed attempts at being the hero add to the episode’s comedic moments.

By the end of the episode, everything is back to normal, and the party resumes with everyone enjoying themselves. The Tapu Sena, although scolded for their prank, is forgiven as they manage to lighten the mood again. Jethalal, although unsuccessful in his attempts to outshine Iyer, still enjoys the evening with the rest of the society.
